Terengganu. 1 Jun 2013 until 4 Jun 2013, All Day
This annual event teaches snorkellers and divers how to be safe in the sea, how to identify common marine species and understand the unique symbiotic relationship, plus how to practice marine-friendly snorkelling and diving. There's also the beach clean-up where participants and volunteers collect the rubbish on the beach in 30 random transect boxes of 100m wide, log all the plastics collected, and send the data to the Maritime Institute of Malaysia (MIMA) for interpretation to see how clean/dirty the beach is in comparison with other beaches in Malaysia. And a low-tide beach exploration to see how marine life thrive out of the water or in tide pools. Overall, an educational and fun event for all in the family.
Pulau Redang. 8 Jun 2013 , 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
